This policy explains what information HaulHub collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account info: name, business name, email, phone, and DOT/MC numbers you provide.
- Carrier records: public FMCSA data (authority, safety rating, insurance status) tied to your DOT number.
- Documents: certificates of insurance, vehicle and pickup photos, proof of delivery, and bills of lading you upload.
- Load & transaction data: loads, bids, awards, messages, reviews, and payout records.
- Location: driver GPS location during an active shipment, only while tracking is enabled, used to provide live tracking.
- Technical: basic log data needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
- To operate the marketplace — match loads, vet carriers, generate bills of lading, and track shipments.
- To process payouts to carriers through our payment provider.
- To send transactional notifications (bids, awards, delivery, payouts) to your email.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to keep the platform secure.
How we share it
We share what's necessary to complete a transaction: a shipper and the carrier they transact with see each other's relevant load and contact details. We use service providers who process data on our behalf — Stripe (payments), Cloudflare R2 (document storage), Neon (database), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting). We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.
Document privacy
Uploaded documents (insurance, POD, photos) are stored privately and served only to authenticated participants of the relevant carrier or load — they are not publicly accessible.
Retention
We keep account and transaction records as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. You can request deletion of your account (see Contact); some records may be retained where required by law.
Your choices
- Update your account information at any time.
- Disable driver location tracking by not enabling it (live tracking will be unavailable for that load).
- Request access to or deletion of your data via the contact below.
Security
Access is protected by passwordless email sign-in and signed session cookies. Documents are private behind authorization checks. Payment details are handled by Stripe and never stored by HaulHub. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
